Today is officially the last day of the first session of camp. I’m so sad to see some of my favorite campers go. I’ve made connections with some of the kids, and I’m trying to hang out with them as much as possible before my work day ends. The week went by too quickly.
Last night’s showcase was a huge success. The kids did an amazing job up on stage. The random one liners of the improv class’ act made the whole scenario do a complete 180. The commercials the film class made were short and funny. They were everything that makes commercials hilarious. Their short film was absolutely hilarious. Especially the ending with the extra credit gym class only getting one point and being so excited that they left halfway through the game. The Thumbelina show was full of rock music references and the ending was such an unexpected and nice ending. The choir class sang some really amazing songs and their costumes for Ruth B’s Lost Boy song were spectacular and adorable. The dance show was phenomenal. The pieces of cloth and the ribbons were colorful and it was a great song selection. The showcase was nothing I could’ve ever imagined. I can’t believe how talented these kids are!
Today is the last day for the raffle, so the campers need to do as many nice things as possible to win those prizes. Good luck to the campers who do win any of the five prizes and the lucky camper who wins those Shubert tickets!
I hope the campers that will be leaving us today have enjoyed themselves, and spent as much time as they could with the new friends they made.
