Thank you everyone for a great summer! See some of you tonight at 5:30 for the last show!
This is it, the final day of camp. Four weeks have flown by! Last night's shows were amazing. We'll be posting pictures from everything in the coming weeks, once we clean up a little. For now though, we'll leave you with this. In 1959 The Sound of Music premiered on the Shubert stage. After our camp dress rehearsal, we took a little trip to the Shubert so our camp cast of The Sound of Music could become part of that rich history. This is just one photo.
Thank you everyone for a great summer! See some of you tonight at 5:30 for the last show!

Wow. So much amazing art going up in the art gallery today. The art gallery will be open 5-6:30pm tonight, so come check it out. Here are just SOME of the amazing pieces you'll see.
Visual arts class did a cool new "melted" paint project this year. Even the pictures of the process look like art!
Dress rehearsals start tomorrow, so we're kicking it up a notch. Fun fact--did you know that you can clean paint off of art tables with shaving cream? Ms. Cav does--she even makes cleaning fun!!
Random creativity, cute hats, rehearsals...all the arts stuff! How did we already get to the start of the the last week of camp??!!
Yesterday, Lion King Kids tried on costumes for the first time. And today, Ms. Nelson gets to wear her own costume--a birthday tiara! Campers sang to her this morning before classes started.
It's just day 3 of 2nd session, but all of the classes are busy busy busy rehearsing and creating amazing art. Short film classes are filming their projects, digital photography went out in New Haven to take pictures of architecture, and all of the performance classes are busy learning choreography, songs and lines. We can't wait to see all of the finished projects! The audience was completely amazed by Lion King Jr and what everyone accomplished in just 10 days. We would never be able to do it if the campers didn't work so hard on memorizing all of their lines, songs, and blocking. And thanks so much to Showcase Tech and Puppetry Class for putting everything together to make it look amazing!
We can't believe its the last day of session 1 already! Winnie the Pooh and the Showcase were both AMAZING last night. Now it's time for Lion King Jr.
The showcase classes just finished their tech rehearsal for tonight's show. Lots of great stuff happening onstage! Everyone is working the camp shirts into their performances.
