Summer Camp Internships

GUIDELINES
  1. Internships are only open to former campers who are currently in 10th-12th grade.
  2. Preference will be given to interns who have been a non-camper for at least one summer (example: camper in 2017, away in 2018, apply to intern in 2019).
  3. Internships will be for one session only.
  4. Internships are UNPAID, but can be used toward community service hours for school, church, etc.
  5. Accepted interns must attend orientation training and submit a current health form.
  6. Applicants can apply to work in musical camp or theater & arts camp.
  7. Applicants will be notified if they were accepted or not by the end of May/early June (as soon as we receive the Youth@Work list for TA's.

Paid Teaching Assistants

GUIDELINES:
  1. Teaching Assistants work weekdays at Cooperative Arts & Humanities High School from July 30-Aug 8. 
  2. Hours range from 10-25 hours per week depending on position for Minimum Wage for one of the following positions: Musical Theater, Theater, Short Film, Visual Art, or Technical Apprentice.
  3. Student interested should display an interest in one of the class arts listed above and have interest in working in education with children grades 3rd-8th.
  4. Students hired for the Shubert Summer Theater & Arts Camp Teaching Assistants must be 16 years of age. Anyone under the age of 16 wants to apply must also apply for the New Haven Youth @ Work program (information below).
  5. Applications are Due Friday,  March 15, 2026.  An email will be sent to all applicants the week of March 16, 2026 to set up interviews for positions (as needed).
